ATL standout Tony Shhnow releases new project Reflexions

Published

on

Tony Shhnow, a staple in Atlanta’s underground hip-hop scene has just shared his new project Reflexions. Across 18-tracks, Tony guides listeners through his candid Reflexions over a sea of lucid instrumentation, polished finesse, and show-stopping lyricism. On par with any offering from Tony Shhnow, Reflexions is an abstract blend of the extensive styles at Tony’s disposal––combining the iconic trap sound and emerging “plugg” scene of his hometown of Atlanta with classic hip-hop wordplay and R&B-inspired beats. On “Days Get Cold”, a clever flip of Ashanti’s Foolish”, Tony waxes poetic about his constant pursuit of cash & incorrigible lover-boy ways over a sweet set of keys and gleaming synths. “Park The Car” is a head-banging cut that seamlessly combines Tony’s nonchalant delivery with thrashing production, amounting to a track primed for an exhilarating mosh pit. Tony brings along an impressive guest list for the project with features from fellow underground standouts like ZelooperzMatt OX, Bear1Boss, as well as production from CardoGotWings on “Forgive Don’t Forget” and an appearance from Atlanta legend OJ Da JuicemanReflexions is a worthwhile encapsulation of Tony’s journey to constantly reinvent his eclectic sound, express the most honest version of himself on the mic, and produce music on the cutting-edge of the blossoming underground of hip-hop.

If the past few years have taught us anything, it’s that trying to keep up with Tony Shhnow is impossible. In the span of 12 months, Tony dropped a whopping 7 successful projects, a feat that has truly separated him from the pack. As described by Pitchfork“Tony’s consistent and overwhelming output has quickly made him a breakout of Atlanta rap’s underground.” Through the projects he’s dropped in 2021, including 48 Laws of Power48 Laws of Flower 2 (Art of Production)Authentic GoodsRPS N PLAN BS ll with 10kDunkinDis Should Hold You Over 2, and kicking off 2022 with Kill Streak 2 (Deluxe), Tony has been releasing music in the vein of Atlanta’s trap superstars of the 2010s and has no plans on stopping. Tony continued his hot streak in 2022 by hitting the road with budding Boston rapper Cousin Stizz for a multi-city tour this Spring. Earlier this month, Tony released “Last Chance” (feat. Zelooperz) and “Keep In Touch” as the lead singles leading up to ReflexionsThrough his gripping visuals and non-stop work ethic, Tony has solidified himself in the next generation of Atlanta artists poised for stardom.

Swendal Gets Super West Coast On ‘Taste Buds’

Published

on

Los Angeles native Swendal is one of one and his latest LP Taste Buds’ showcases it fully. Being his first release in awhile, Swendal wanted to come back with a bang and that he did.

‘Taste Buds’ is a 25 track LP where Swendal mixes life experiences along with dope bars and metaphors that fans of good music can enjoy at any setting.

It’s a certain level of maturity from Swendal which fans of good music can really enjoy. The passion of his tone and level of wordplay is reminiscent of such as Dom Kennedy, the late Nipsey Hussle, and Blxst. However he is his own artist and should be appreciated as such.

Good company to keep for a good artist to add to your daily mix. Check out ‘Taste Buds’ below.

Melodic hitmaker Zayzayy won’t let his circumstances halt him from dropping music and his latest LP ‘Just Because 2’ is a great example of that. It’s full of passion and is much appreciated to the ears of music lovers worldwide.

‘Just Because 2’ is a seven track EP that features Zay himself venting about his experiences which are relatable to not only people in his situation but also your every day consumer of music. The pockets he hits sonically are some of the best I heard this year.

“Seven songs, seven stages of my life on audio recording for my fans! Keep me in your prayers,” Zayzayy states. Seems that he is keeping faith during his downtime.
