Charles X’s journey into music began early. A self-described misfit, he found solace and expression in music at the tender age of 12. Growing up with the absence of a father figure and frequently moving due to his mother’s military career, Charles X faced numerous challenges. These hardships only fueled his passion for music, transforming his struggles into a creative outlet.

The video for “FILA” is a testament to his artistic vision. Seamlessly blending the soulful introspection of Frank Ocean with the vibrant energy of Michael Jackson, the video offers a visual and auditory feast. Charles X’s ability to mix crooner vocals with rhythmic flow is on full display, earning him critical acclaim and comparisons to some of the industry’s greats.

Over his 20-year career, Charles X has remained dedicated to pushing musical boundaries. Charles X remains humble about his talents, attributing his success to his deep love and respect for music rather than innate skill. This humility, coupled with his relentless drive, sets him apart in an industry often dominated by conformity.

His message is clear: his music is about love and positivity. Charles X aspires to be a positive role model, particularly for young black kids facing similar challenges. His dream is to tour the world, spreading truth and making a lasting, positive impact.
