Robb Bank$ new project Cloverfield 3 is finally out. After a year long wait, the EP is now available for the public to consume. At only eight tracks, and a lean 23 minutes, Cloverfield 3 is a concise outing for Bank$ to explore his artistry in ways that he has yet to. Featuring appearances from Oogie, Mane WOD and Nuri, and Cris Dinero, Bank$ largely keeps the work to himself as a means of showcasing what he has to make it to the next level. The album’s the second of the year from him, with Molly World having been released earlier this year to little noise.
On the project, Bank$ continues to showcase his excellent means of creating wildly different music. No two songs sound the same; there’s the autotuned harmonizing of “Minute,” then there’s the bombastic, eclectic bliss of follow-up “Project 8,” and things get even weirder from there. Bank$ makes a case for himself as one of the game’s hidden talents that seldom gets the respect that he deserves.
