Video Spotlight: @CashKiddMarc Has A Hit With “Pray”

Published

Cash Kidd

Cash Kidd’s visual for “Pray” opens up with two hands joined together in unison, aimed towards the sky in an act of desperation. This act is repeated multiple times as the proceedings get underway; we’re introduced to Cash Kidd and associates as they traverse Detroit at night in the blistering cold. Yet as somber and mysterious as the visual lets on to be, the frenzied-tempo of the song along with Cash Kidd’s slightly off-kilter lyrics make it one hell of an interesting experience to partake in. It’s only been out for a few days, but, combining the soulful feel of the production, the somber visual, and the chaotic rap delivery will lead to this becoming one of the year’s first true smashes for the city of Detroit.

Pretty Yung Bih and Blu are about their shit on “Pretti Gang Freestyle.” They’re young, black, beautiful, and bossy. Over the harsh beat, the two women spit venomous verses about their come-up that are so fierce that you’ll want to run them back immediately when they’re done. Both have their own ways of flexing: Pretty Yung Bih makes her words a little lighter and delicate while Blu’s bruising vocals are like haymakers.

RiskTaker D-Boy and Rio Da Yung OG make a damn good team on “Sit Down” where they show that chemistry is how to take an already good song to the next level. Their verses are frenetic and cold, RiskTaker D-Boy in particular who addresses those that would slander his name. The energy in these moments is contagious, showing that they are truly in charge.
