Video Spotlight: @AllStarYoungLee Takes A Trip To “White Castle”

Published

on

When you think of White Castle, what do you think of? The chain’s infamous cheeseburger sliders? You aren’t the only one. When AllStar Lee says “Meet me at the White Castle” at the beginning of the track, you want to believe that he’s going there to get some burgers. But, because of the street life, that, unfortunately, isn’t the reason. After receiving some small bags of a mystery drug, the mystique of White Castle grows even more because of the ambiguity of the staff. Who gave it to him? Does anyone even notice him filming? These questions and more swirl around as Lee uses his trademark flow to unleash a barrage of bars that place him at the city’s top tier of prospective rappers.

Take a look at “White Castle” below.

Oes Joe Sleaz revolutionizes the off-kilter flow in “One Eight Seven”

Published

on

Oes Joe Sleaz has a banger on his hands with “One Eight Seven.” This might be the first banger in history with its hard-hitting abilities coming from a powerhouse vocal performance instead of the actual production. Oes’ delivery is out of this world, some in the comments calling it off-kilter. But that’s what gives it clarity, what separates it and helps it to stand out. Also, the confidence in which he spits makes it all the more better.

Jdoe Santana explores flows in “Loyalty”

Published

on

I’ll admit, going into this song, I didn’t know what to expect. Jdoe starts off mysterious and rattles off flows near acapella, making me wonder what the ultimate effect the song would have on me would be. I grew a little concerned. Then, the beat kicks in and Jdoe’s monstrous abilities are unleashed. “Loyalty” takes a little to fully reveal its hand, but, when it does, it’s fire. Jdoe reveals some serious ability, giving out some crafted flows and flexing talents that many rappers in the game don’t have. It’s best that you hear it for yourself.

Check out the video for “Loyalty” below.

Lavier drops fire with “The Most”

Published

on

The Bandamount-directed visual for “The Most” may be pretty simple and tame, but the raps from Lavier are on point. He proves his worthiness in the Detroit rap game, spitting without stopping for breath, casual too, like he’s not out to overdo it. And it works because of that. Lavier’s definitely someone to watch in this crazy game of ours.
