@MollyBrazy Set The Internet Ablaze With New Snippet

Published

on

Determining what goes viral in our day and age usually comes down to one of three things; shock, hilarity, or genuine appreciation. If either of the first two reasons is why the content garners attention, chances are that it will be forgotten nearly immediately, replaced by the next big fuss. But when content gets attention for being good, it sticks around and only builds anticipation.

Molly Brazy uploaded a snippet on Jan. 23 that falls into the last category. The forty-second snippet, simply captioned “Game Over” features the 18-year-old rapper reciting lyrics from an upcoming release as she records herself with her phone. In short, the song sounds to be like one of her best yet. She uses Detroit’s signature sound and furthers it, creating a new sound altogether.

At over 400 retweets and over 1300 favorites, the clip is gaining some serious attention. People that haven’t checked her out before are becoming familiar with her brand and serious flow that makes her a contender with some of the genre’s elite.

Check out the clip below and see for yourself.

Bay Area Spotlight: “Give Up The Goods” By @1oakALLDAY And @shady28nate Is A Side Piece Anthem

Published

on

If you’re a side piece, you know the euphoric feeling that you get when a successful fling happens. The bodily release is one thing, but the mental high of sharing someone else’s spouse is something that sends chills down the spine. In “Give Up The Goods,” 1-O.A.K. and Shady Nate croon about this phenomenon to the backdrop of some lush, dreamy production. The song may sound romantic, but the actual subject matter is nothing but lust. It’s an interesting feint that makes this listening and intriguing one, and identifiable one if you’ve ever played that role. If you haven’t, just don’t let the song boil your blood too much.

Listen to the sensual anthem below.

Bay Area Spotlight: @Rezn_ Brings The Mellow Vibes With “Colors Of You”

Published

on

Bass-pounding beats in hip-hop never get old, but, it never hurts to play things a little softer and smoother. We’re not even referring to R & B music, just rap with a calmer vibe. Something that you can nod your head to and sip from on a cool summer night. Rezn’s new jam “Colors Of You” is a serious, introspective record that looks at his own insecurities as well as those of the women he encounters but also manages to be a chill Saturday night song. Vocalist Breana Martin sings smoothly on the chorus, adding to the amazing overall package. Rezn’s flow is nice, but his ability to steer the song into cool waters is what makes it a gem.

Check out the visual for “Colors Of You” below.
