Frames Brown releases an atypical video for “They Ain’t Shit”

Published

Frames Brown’s video for “They Ain’t Shit”  isn’t like a lot of visuals you’ll see. Instead of Frames rapping his song, he enlists the help of a female model to do it, already making it more visually appealing than a more traditional type of visual featuring him rapping it. There’s a comedic element to it with Frames, at one point running away embarrassed from the woman rapping his verse.

The production for “They Ain’t Shit” is bouncy, new-age boilerplate. It works for the near parody-level content of the song, and we love it because of it. The entire package together is the kind of song that you’ll frequently return to, time and time again .

East Warren Eway shows off some serious confidence in “One Time”

Published

on

This iteration of “One Time,” unlike Migos’ 2014 rendition, is packed with heart and emotion. East Warren Eway’s lyricism traverses well-tread ground, but it’s easy to understand, and, most importantly, it’s polished. Eway sounds cunning, smart, and adaptable. We could see this making it out of the city into the larger rap stratosphere with the proper support.

Gtm Diinero and TBLA revel in the beauty of nature in “Surrounded”

Published

Now, how’s that for a switch-up. Gtm Diinero and TBLA hit the forest for a natural rendezvous in “Surrounded.” The production for the song is rather relaxed and passive, perfect for a soundtrack to a walk through the trees. The two rappers chill in a house playing card when they’re not showcasing the ducks and swans. The raps are smooth and impactful, being decidedly less jagged than the typical Detroit hardcore rhymes that we’ve become accustomed to. This is a beautiful video that would make Brother Nature proud, all the while having some serious rap talent explored as well.

Philthy Rich, Eastside Peezy, CashClick Boog, and Rockin Rolla make the strip club home in “All I Want”

Published

Philthy Rich and Eastside Peezy’s chemistry is near Wayans Brothers level now. Their new cut, “All I Want” shows just how good they work together. The addition of CashClick Boog and Rockin Rolla helps them craft a hard-hitting strip club banger that sounds as good in the car as it does club sound systems. Philthy and Eastside, as usual, do their thing. CashClick Boog and Rockin Rolla bring some smooth vocal verses and choruses. A tight record from a cast that should definitely collaborate again in the near future.
