BandGang Jizzle P kills the competition with “Freestyles”

Published

on

If you know anything about BandGang Jizzle P, it’s that he’s one of the best rappers in the D. His hard-hitting style is often imitated, never duplicated. The way he powerhouses through verses with indignant fury often makes him the topic of conversation, and, with the release of “Freestyles,” he will surely dominate it again today. In his new track, Jizzle P’s flows are out of this world. He raps with a particular sense of presence – one that permeates the soul, especially when he says, of his jail time, “I had to sit down and get my mind right.” He doesn’t prioritize punchlines like many, focusing on giving some real spill for his listeners.

Listen to “Freestyles” below.

You could almost describe this song as pandemic music, speaking as it does to the burden of loneliness. Recorded at Quad NYC, where the guys practically reside, the track is carried by an infectious guitar line, punctuated with commanding 808s. Vibe check – reflective. Ride to it solo, or with a friend. Head nodding guaranteed.
